“The day I fell, I heard that said voice that had
called me all those years. It called me from above the
steeple; I recall looking up, and just then, the
immortal man of mine abandoned my mortal.
“I know this, because in an instant, I was at the top
of the steeple looking down. I then saw my body lying
on the ground in front of the sanctuary. I saw and
heard all that the people there did and said at the
sanctuary that day. I well recall hearing when one man
told the others that I was dead. I tried telling them
that I was fine and that what they saw was just the
shell I had lived in, but they evidently did not hear
me. You know, Mrs. Hall, even seeing my body lying
there on the ground brought absolutely no concern to
me whatsoever, but what caught my attention was; there
was another person there who resembled me only he was
some what transparent, but kept in full contact with
me until I left the tabernacle”
