Billy Porch was a bilingual boy and the only child of his parents,
who thought that they would never be parents, a s his mother
was said to be barren. But she prayed often for God to give
her a child, one she promised to dedicate to him for his
service. Her prayer was answered on the eighth anniversary
of her marriage, and she in turn fulfilled her promise to
God.
Billy was born and raised in Spanish Honduras. It was said that
some of his ancestors were from an island in the West
Indies, namely the Cayman Islands, due to the migration of
his fore-parents who were of Irish and German descent.
Just after Billy was born, he was trapped in some kind of spiritual
ordeal, which lasted until the day of his seventh week, when
a mysterious, unknown woman appeared at his parents ’ home.
With their permission, she rubbed him with some substance
she took from a queer little bottle she took from her dress
pocket, kissed him, then disappeared from the home —and so
did his ordeal.
From Billy ’s fourth birthday, he began hearing a voice calling
him, from where at first he took to be his mother ’s rose
garden. At that said age, he began to have a dream that was
repetitious throughout the next twenty-six years. This dream
was later revealed to have been given to him mainly to
strengthen and prepare him for another ordeal, which he
would later encounter, that would enable him to fulfill his
destiny.
In this dream, Billy would fifinds himself in what he took to be
outer space, standing beside a gigantic gulf of water,
between two enormous cities. From one of these cities, the
one he called the city of noises; he heard awful noises
,heart-wrenching cries of humans. These awful noises and
cries in flicted his entire being with indescribable
horrifying pain, but suddenly his attention was
captured and his suffering relieved by the sound of
beautiful music and songs that descended from the other city
,the one he called the city of songs.
