the lesson,
1.
The seeker of this second work of grace, must be
(FIRST) fully desired to be sanctified; (sanctify one self,
or in other words willing for God to sanctify them)
(SECOND,) the seeker must be in Christ; or in other words,
must be (a) saved, (b) justified, (c)
redeemed, (d) born again, (e) forgiven for
their actual sin. John 15: 1,2; 1Cor. 1: 2.
These above five alphabetical listings are all
interchangeable; or meaning the same thing.
2.
The seeker must have faith (belief and complete
trust in God,) Heb. 11: 6, Act. 26: 18.
3.
The seeker must approach (to move nearer to)
God in full assurance (security, self-confidence,) of faith.
Heb. 10: 19-22.
4.
The seeker must believe that God is able to sanctify
(to make holy: consecrate, to free from sin,) them.
Heb. 7: 25, Eph. 3: 20.
5.
The seeker
must believe that God will sanctify them. 1. Thes. 5: 23.
6.
The seeker must lay aside (put out of the way)
the weight (sin) that doth (do) so easily
beset (trouble, harass, assail; also surround) them.
What is this weight or sin? It sure is not the actual sin
God forgave the one who were the sinner, which is now saved
from sin; and seeking sanctification. No, this weight or sin
is the inherited sin from our four parents Adam and Eve. The
seeker laying it aside is: again being willing for God to
clean them up from it; as one do not have to be forgiven for
it, as it was not committed, but inherited. Amen. Heb. 12:
1.
7.
The seeker must put off the old man. The old man
(the physical nature) is just another way to repeat the
above; in number six. Eph. 4: 22, Col. 3: 9.
8.
The seeker must suffer (endure pain, undergo, bear
loss, allow, permit,) to have the old man crucified.
This suffering are: having to die (deny oneself to the
desires, temptations, wants, of the human nature that would
displease God. In other words, be a living sacrifice.)
Rom. 6: 6,
9.
The seeker must abstain (to refrain from an action or
practice; to hold one self back) FROM ALL appearance of
evil.
1Thes. 5:
22, 23,
10.
The seeker must present himself a living sacrifice (the
offering of something precious to deity) to God. In this
holy act towards, and by God He is now able to use that
person for his work in any way He: God so chooses.
11.
The seeker must ask God in the name of Jesus for: (1)
a clean heart, Psa. 51: 10, (2) the Holy Spirit, Luk. 11:
13, (3) in faith, Mat. 21: 22, Mrk. 11: 24.
12. God’s
promise to the seeker: (1) ye (you) shall find…Mat.
7: 7. (2) Every plant shall be rooted up… Mat. 15: 13,
(God made human not the sinful nature) (3) The God of
peace will sanctify you wholly (Completely,
totally, exclusively, entirely) In other words not only
did he forgive for actual sin (Sin committed) but he
will also clean you up from the sinful nature you were born
with. 1Thes. 5: 22-24.
Yes, that
said sin nature handed down to every human been born after
the fall in the Garden of Eden. (4) Make you perfect: Heb.
13: 20, 21, 10: 15-17. (5) Cleanse FROM ALL SIN, Amen;
(not having to sin more or less every day; made able, if one
so choose, each day to live FREE FROM SIN Amen.) 1 Jon.
1: 7. (6) …Put my Spirit within you: Ezek. 36: 27. (7) Pour
you out a blessing: Mal. 3: 10. This scripture is greatly
stressed; in almost all churches today as the ten percent of
one’s income, but I believe that we should give God a tithe
of our time in: Studying his word, prayer (special time
out), fasting, as well as giving money to aid with the
needs of the Church
